- Iron and ironing board are stored in a proper place for them.
- Cooled iron is stored upright in heel rest position with the
cord hanging loose.
- The water tank of steam iron is emptied after use.
- Checking and cleaning the soleplate (the flat ironing surface)
can be done, after the iron has cooled down. The soleplate can be cleaned
with washing-up liquid, moist washing powder or SOFT scrub sponge (colour-code:
white). Be careful not to scratch the soleplate, so as not to damage the
resistance wires.
