Dampness

Always check the material and its care instructions before ironing. If the textile can be dampened, check which method suits it best, spraying or steaming.

Iron while dry

  • synthetic fibres
  • crêpe fabrics
  • embossed materials

Iron while well dampened

  • linen
  • new cotton

Steam ironing suits many materials
  • firm and stiff silks
  • woollen clothst
  • cotton
  • cotton tricot
  • blended fabrics

Note!

  • Textiles are always ironed until they are dry.
  • Water drops tend to leave spots on silk and woollen fabrics, thus steam ironing is a good choice for spraying.
